I decided to download PuTTY - mainly because it's a program that I have heard of before.
I then opened the command line window and entered : telnet library.deakin.edu.au.
The following results were found:

These results were successfully emailed to my curtin email account.

Problems: When trying to format this blog and copy & paste the results I had a lot of problems making it look right. Firstly I could copy & past out of the Command Screen. I took screen shots and then re-sized them - some of them were too small to read.
I then googled "copy text from command line" and used the result from the JSI FAQ Tip 0178 http://www.jsifaq.com/SF/Tips/Tip.aspx?id=0178
I ended up deciding to use a combination of both methods when posting the results of the tasks.
Further Exploration: I1I further explored Deakin library's book catalogue for books such as "Wuthering Heights" of which they had 7 results. I was impressed by how easy it was to get information about the books.
I finished up by typing telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl. It was fun but I admit to not watching it to the end. I liked everyone's comments on the discussion board about it.
