Module 1 - Further Reflections

Reflections on Module 1:
By completing the tasks in this module I was able to gain a more in depth insight as to how the internet works. Telnet for example is not something that I have used before. However, I realise I have used it before but with a different interface.

There are many protocols used in the internet which have not changed over many years, but the interfaces are changing every year.

When I started using a computer, I had to enter commands into DOS at the C> prompt. With the introduction of Windows, basic users no longer really needed to know the commands such as copy, they just needed to click on the button "copy".

Although the internet has developed hugely, there are still the same underlying protocols being used.
