I downloaded WS-FTP Professional from their site for a 30 day free trial.
I then connected without any problems to curtin and had a look for the readme file, and sucessfully downloaded it.
CAPITALIZATION MATTERS
I actually tried to transfer a file that I created test.txt into the aaa folder on the curtin site, but access was denied.
I understand the FTP is a two way process but also computers can be protectected by restricting access to their sites.
